Karauna is an old and massive Taniwha who's been through many centuries. He is a wise and patient creature, wanting to be left alone.
He established his territory on the Rohe Islands and protected them from all external threats, Taniwha or foreign ships.
His large golden crest gave him his name, emerging from its surroundings like a crown.
